Omidi Homer Powers Canadian Premier to win Against KC Royals Scout Team
Canadian Premier snatched the lead late in their 5-4 victory over KC Royals Scout Team on Wednesday.
Canadian Premier were down 4-3 in the top of the seventh inning when Xavier Raphael Brault singled, scoring two runs.
Robert Omidi opened the scoring blasting a solo home run to right in the top of the first.
The Royals Scout Team tied the game at one in the bottom of the first.
The Royals Scout Team took the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the second thanks to a pair of RBI singles
Canadian Premier tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a ground out by Sam Ellis, and a single by Elliot Lascelles.
A single gave KC Royals Scout Team the lead, 4-3, in the sixth, setting the stage for Brault.
Nick Szabo earned the win for Canadian Premier 1. The reliever gave up two hits and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking two. Gavin Campbell began the game for Canadian Premier he gave up three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out three and walking three. Caleb Dupuis, Zach Duke, and Will Steinman each came on in relief for Canadian Premier and throwing shutdown innings.
Brault went 2-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in.
