MIDWESTERN ONTARIO BEARCATS JOIN CPBL PROSPECT DIVISION

CPBL continues offseason growth with addition of established Ontario program

The Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL) is pleased to announce that the Midwestern Ontario Bearcats will join the CPBL Prospect Division for the 2027 season, adding another established Ontario baseball organization and contributing to the continued growth of the CPBL Prospect Division.

The addition of the Bearcats continues an active offseason of growth for the Canadian Premier, as the league continues to bring together organizations committed to providing athletes with high-level competition, development opportunities and increased exposure.

For the Bearcats, joining the CPBL Prospect Division represents an important next step in the continued growth of the organization and provides its players with a structured competitive environment that includes a full league schedule, standings, playoffs and high-level events.

The addition of the Midwestern Ontario Bearcats further strengthens the CPBL Prospect Division and expands the Canadian Premier’s footprint across Ontario, while providing another pathway for players to compete in a structured, highly competitive environment.

Additional details regarding the Bearcats’ participation in the CPBL Prospect Division and the 2027 season will be announced in the coming months.
