Kuypers Pair of Knocks Leads Canadian Premier Underclass Over FS Prime

Canadian Premier Underclass 17U defeated FS Prime 11-1 on Thursday at Terry Park in Fort Myers, Florida.

An eight run 4th inning was the difference. A Juan Cruz single, scored two runs,  while Alex Kuypers followed up with a single of his own plating two more., a pair of FS Prime errors lead to two more runs. A Kyle Duda bases loaded walk forced another run home and Cruz was struck by a pitch, driving in his third run of the inning to cap the scoring..

Canadian Premier Underclass jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when Jack Ward hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Mikey Batiste doubled, scoring two runs.

Lucien Kovalcik earned the win for Canadian Premier Underclass. The Fieldhouse pitcher gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out six and walking none.  Ethan Reason and Nolan Shackelton each threw scoreless innings for Canadian Premier Underclass in relief.

Cruz went 1-for-1 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in while Kuypers went 2-for-2 at the plate.. Galen Hudel had three walks on the day. Canadian Premier Underclass ran wild on the base paths, tallying nine stolen bases for the game, Rafael Besancon had three to lead the way.
