CPBL Partners with Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy

by Rich Leitch

The Canadian Premier Baseball League is excited to announce a partnership with the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy that will connect our CPBL Prospect Games (formerly CPBL All-Star Games) and the Toronto Blue Jays Academy Showcase try-outs as one.

Beginning May of 2024, players that attend the CPBL Prospects Game try-outs, in addition to being evaluated for the league event, will also be evaluated by Toronto Blue Jays scouting staff for their annual Canadian Futures Showcase Tournament, the top amateur baseball event in Canada.

The goal of combining the two evaluations is to streamline the try-out process for our players, give more players a chance to be exposed and considered for both events while limiting the amount of time, travel and expense required to attend multiple events during the spring.

With like minded leadership and philosophies centered around growing the game of baseball on the provincial and national level from both the CPBL and Toronto Blue Jays Academy, this partnership was easy to foster and will be exciting to watch grow.  The CPBL looks forward to providing its players these opportunities for the 2024 season and beyond.

Registration will open Monday, March 19th for all CPBL Players.  Please follow our social media outlets along with our website for more information.
