Canadian Premier Underclass Team Finalized for Perfect Game Midwest Champions Cup

The Canadian Premier Underclass Team that will represent the Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL) at Perfect Game’s Midwest Champions Cup, September 25–27nin New Lenox, Illinois, has officially been finalized.

The roster was assembled through an extensive evaluation process that began in May with the CPBL Prospect Game tryouts. Those evaluations, combined with ongoing assessments throughout the regular season, identified players for CPBL Prospect Weekend—the final stage of the selection process for this prestigious event.

The roster was selected by Perfect Game evaluators in collaboration with the Canadian Premier coaching staff, CPBL executives and MLB scouts.

Now entering its third year, the Canadian Premier Underclass Team has established itself as an opportunity for some of the league’s top young players to compete against elite programs from across the United States. The team has also gained valuable international experience, including exhibition series against the Australian National Team.

This year’s trip will feature two pre-tournament games, beginning with a matchup on the campus of the University of Michigan. The team will then face the GRB Rays National Team before heading to New Lenox for the Midwest Champions Cup.

The event will provide the players with another opportunity to compete at a high level while gaining valuable exposure in front of college and professional baseball evaluators.
