Canadian Premier Team Finalized for Perfect Game WWBA Tournament

The Canadian Premier Team that will represent the Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL) at Perfect Game’s World Wood Bat Association (WWBA) Tournament, October 9–13 in Jupiter, Florida, has officially been finalized.

The roster was assembled through an extensive evaluation process that began in May with the CPBL Prospect Game tryouts. Those evaluations, combined with ongoing assessments throughout the regular season, helped identify players for CPBL Prospect Weekend—the final stage of the selection process for one of the most prestigious events on the amateur baseball calendar.

The roster was selected by Perfect Game evaluators in collaboration with the Canadian Premier coaching staff, CPBL executives and MLB scouts.

Entering its fifth year, the Canadian Premier Team has established a strong tradition of competing against elite programs from across North America. The program’s alumni include more than a dozen current professional players and nearly 100 collegiate athletes, highlighting the level of talent and development represented by the CPBL.

This year’s trip will feature three pre-tournament exhibition games, all taking place at the Roger Dean Complex. The Canadian Premier Team will open against Elite Squad, based in Miami, Florida, before facing the Canes National/New York Mets Scout Team and the Kansas City Royals Scout Team.

The PG WWBA Tournament, commonly known as “Jupiter,” is one of the premier showcases for high school baseball talent in North America. This year’s event is expected to attract more than 400 college coaches, MLB scouts and professional baseball executives, providing an exceptional stage for the CPBL’s top players.

The exhibition series, combined with the PG WWBA Tournament, will provide the CPBL’s top 2027 and 2028 players with an opportunity to compete against some of the very best players in their age group from across North America.

The trip represents another important step in the development and exposure of Canadian Premier players as they take on elite competition in front of college and professional evaluators.
