Canadian Premier Splits Final 2 games in Fort Myers

Canadian Premier Underclass split their final two games of their trip Sunday dropping game 1 to TSD Elite 9-5 and winning game 2 8-0 against Power Elite.

GAME 1

A single by Alex Kuypers put Canadian Premier Underclass on the board in the top of the first.

TSD Elite jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after a single and a double play, each scored one run.

TSD Elite added another run in the third making the score 3-1.

Canadian Premier Underclass tied the game in the top of the fourth thanks to a double by Kyle Duda, and an RBI single by Juan Cruz.

TSD Elite took the lead in the bottom of the fourth scoring two runs, to give TSD Elite the edge, 5-3.

Canadian Premier Underclass tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a bases loaded walk by Galen Hudel and a passed ball.

TSD Elite made the score 9-5 in the bottom of the fifth.

Brett Crowley began the game for Canadian Premier Underclass. The left-handed pitcher gave up two hits and three runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking two.

Kuypers went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Canadian Premier Underclass in hits. Cruz, Hudel, Duda, and Kuypers each drove in one run each.

GAME 2

Canadian Premier Underclass defeated Power Elite 8-0 on Sunday thanks in part to six runs in the second inning.  Galen Hudel doubled, scoring two runs, Sam Ellis tripled, scoring three runs, and Rafael Besancon singled, scoring one run.

Ethan Reason stepped on the hill first for Canadian Premier Underclass. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out none and walking two. Lucien Kovalcik tossed two innings of shutout ball in relief. The righty allowed one hit, striking out three and walking none.

Hudel, showed the depth of the Canadian Premier Underclass lineup, by leading them with two hits in two at bats. Ellis led Canadian Premier Underclass with four runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-2 on the day.  Juan Cruz and Alex Wallace led the team with two walks each.
