Canadian Premier and Baseball Australia Partner for Exhibition Series

Press Release

The Canadian Premier Baseball League is excited to announce that both Canadian Premier teams will play against Baseball Australia prior to beginning their respective Perfect Game WWBA tournaments this fall.

Canadian Premier ‘Underclass’ will begin their schedule with a pair of exhibition games against Baseball Australia’s 17U team in Fort Myers, Florida. These games will take place on October 1st and October 2nd and will provide players the opportunity for more exposure to high end competition ahead of tournament pool play.

The following week in Jupiter, Canadian Premier will play one exhibition game against Baseball Australia’s 18U team. This game will take place on October 9th and will be broadcasted by Perfect Game on PG.TV. Perfect Game’s Executive Producer and former MLB Broadcaster, Daron Sutton will call the game. Tournament pool play will begin the following day.

These ‘International Series’ games are made possible by the mutual partnerships that the CPBL and Baseball Australia share with Perfect Game.

“We are very excited to add these games against Baseball Australia to our schedule this fall. Our Premier teams were created with the vision of providing our players the opportunity to compete against the best in their peer group and these games add an international element to that vision. Special thanks to Perfect Game for making this possible.”

  • Jamie Romak, GM Canadian Premier Teams

“Baseball Australia is extremely excited to get the opportunity to play the premier CPBL teams prior to the Perfect Game Underclass and World Series events. This collaboration of international competition is a fine example of what can occur when like minded development systems work together for the betterment of our great game world-wide.”
