Batiste Fornelli and Wallace Homer But Canadian Premier Falls 9-5
Canadian Premier Underclass fell 9-5 to Scorpions Baseball on Friday at Rutenberg Park in Fort Myers, FL despite out-hitting them eight to six. Alex Wallace led Canadian Premier Underclass with three hits.
Wallace collected three hits in three at bats in the loss. Wallace hit a home run to left field in the fifth inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the seventh inning.
A solo home run to center field by Mikey Batiste put Canadian Premier Underclass on the board in the top of the second.
Scorpions made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the second after a single and a homer.
Canadian Premier Underclass made the score 6-5 in the top of the fifth inning when Wallace homered to left field, scoring two runs, Evan Fornelli hit a solo home run to center field, and Sam Ellis singled, scoring one run.
Gus Reid stepped on the bump first for Canadian Premier Underclass. The righty allowed four hits and three runs over three innings, striking out two and walking none.
