10 CPBL Alumni Selected to Play in MLB Spring Breakout

10 CPBL Alumni have been selected to play in MLB's Spring Breakout event.

The event will feature the following alumni;


Tyler Black - Milwaukee Brewers (Toronto Mets 2018)

Mitch Bratt - Texas Rangers (Toronto Mets 2021)

Dasan Brown - Toronto Blue Jays (Ontario Blue Jays 2019)

David Calabrese - Los Angeles Angels (Ontario Blue Jays 2020)

Owen Caissie - Chicago Cubs (Fieldhouse Pirates 2020)

Eric Cerantola - Kansas City Royals (Great Lake Canadians 2018)

Liam Hicks - Texas Rangers (Toronto Mets 2017)

Myles Naylor - Oakland Athletics (Ontario Blue Jays 2023)

Dylan O'Rae - Milwaukee Brewers (Great Lake Canadians 2022)

Calvin Ziegler - New York Mets (Great Lake Canadians 2021)


These players represent 10 of the 15 total Canadians selected to play.  

According to MLB.com;

 MLB Spring Breakout is a four-day event showcasing baseball’s future: the current stars of Minor League Baseball. The inaugural edition will be held from March 14-17, 2024, at Grapefruit and Cactus league stadiums during Spring Training. A series of 16 exhibition games will be played between teams comprised of each MLB organization’s top prospects, creating a new touchpoint on the baseball calendar that celebrates our sport’s budding talent.
